With less construction projects during the month of Ramadan, workers are jobless and make a little go a long way.
“Before I would work for four days in a week, but now I found a job for two days in the past one week,” said a 47-year old daily-waged worker.
Nearly 400 laborers gather by the Information Technology and Telecommunication department of Mazar-e-Sharif with the hope of finding work.
The workers criticized the government for their inability to tackle unemployment in the city.
According to the Labor and Social Affairs Department official, Ghausuddin, nearly 80% of the people faced unemployment in the province, mostly the ones without education. If the situation continues, people may immigrate to another country.
