Electricity for 400 Families in Sar-e-Pul City

Four-hundred families in the Naw Abad village of the city of Amam Khord in Sar-e-Pul province are enjoying electricity in their houses as a result of work, initiated by Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS), on the extension of power cords in the area.

The residents in the area said that previously they were faced with many problems due to lack of sufficient power. With the initiation of the new project, some of the issues have been resolved.

According to the survey by the Department of Rural Rehabilitation and Development in Sar-e-Pul, the province currently has a population of one million. Only residents in the city of Sar-e-Pul benefit from power imported from Turkmenistan. People usually complain about weak electric power and frequent power blackouts.
