Indian legendary singer Asha Bhosle’s daughter, Varsha, committed suicide by shooting herself in the head twice with a pistol at her mother’s Peddar Road home on Monday morning.
The 56 years old was reportedly suffering from depressions and had tried to end her life in 1998 and 2008.
Varsha Bhosle, who sang for some Hindi and Marathi films besides appearing in concerts with her mother, was married to a sports journalist, but the marriage ended in 1998.
She was the second of Bhosle’s three children and wrote for magazine and web portals.
