Da Afghanistan Breshna Sherkat (DABS) inaugurated 22 power towers in Kabul and provinces of Kapisa and Parwan.
DABS CEO Abdul Razique Samadi, speaking at the inauguration ceremony of one of the towers, said 22 power towers are opened in the 7th, 8th, 11th, 12th and 15th district of Kabul City, Parwan and Kapisa, which generate electricity to 11,000 households.
Mr. Samadi said the total cost of the projects was 70mn AFN, funded by the company’s own budget.
Mr. Samadi added that last year 114,000 households benefited from electricity and this year 60,000 more households would benefit.
He urged people to conserve electricity and use it properly to prevent power outages especially during the winter season.
Dasht Barchi is one of the regions of Kabul that has been deprived of electricity. Mr. Samadi informed at the ceremony that 92 towers are in the process and would be launched in the region within two months.
